Description: 3-D rendering of a hippocampal CA2 neuron from an adult mouse brain expressing a genetically encoded cre-dependent fluorophore (tdTomato, rendered in greyscale). Administration of tamoxifen induces reporter expression, which is strongly expressed in hippocampal CA2 neurons, as well as an unknown cell type in the vasculature. An adult mouse brain was cleared using the Fast 3D Clear method and a 3-D volumetric dataset was captured using fluorescence light sheet microscopy.
