Description: Coronal mosaic photomicrograph showing the distribution of pyramidal neurons in M1 of the mouse, infected with the retrograde virus pAAV-hSyn-hChR2(H134R)-EYFP injected in the ipsilateral red nucleus, the images were acquired in a confocal system (Zeiss 780 LSM) with a x63 oil immersion objective (Zeiss, EC Plan-Neofluar 40x/1.30 Oil DIC M27) with a 405-excitation laser (emission detection range: 400-455 nm). Mosaic images were acquired at a resolution of 0.109 µm x 0.109 µm x 0.5 µm per voxel. Different layers in Z were asigned with a pseudocolor.
