Description: Neurons within the dentate gyrus of a female C57BL/6 mouse hippocampus was stained for vesicular glutamate transporter 1 (VGLUT1) in red, cannabinoid receptor 1 (CB1) in green, and dapi in blue using immunofluorescence staining. Confocal microscopy was used to capture z-stacks (0.5 um steps) within a 20 um thick brain slice. The image shows a maximum projection of the z-stacks.
