Description: Born from the same clutch, the bottom zebrafish was exposed to 10 parts per billion of dioxin (TCDD), while its sibling (top) was exposed to 0.1% DMSO. The fish were exposed 4 hours post fertilization (hpf); however, altered CYP1a expression (green) is maintained at 72 hpf. The upregulated CYP1a expression is a testament to the toxic environment. Alpha tubulin marks neuronal tracks (red), and GFAP outlines the whole brain by labeling glial proteins (blue). Fixed zebrafish were imaged 6x zoom at 72 hpf.
