Description: Rat astrocytes grown invitro were transduced with fluorescent tagged super oxide dismutase (red) implicated in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Fixed astrocytes were then labeled with astrocyte marker Glial Fibrillary Acidic Protein (GFAP) shown in yellow. Nuclei of cells are labeled with DAPI in blue. Image captured using 20x objective of Nikon A1 confocal microscope and image represents maximum intensity projection of 1 micrometer thick Z stacks.
