Description: Longitudinal imaging section of myelinated axons in a sciatic nerve cross-section from a wild-type mouse. Myelin sheaths (magenta) were imaged without staining by collecting autofluorescence. Cell nuclei (blue) were stained with DAPI. Images were acquired using a 20x/0.75 objective lens on a Nikon Eclipse Ti2-E inverted microscope. Image quality was further enhanced using deep learning-based denoising of fluorescence data with Nikon NIS-Elements software.
