Title:
Arms of information

Author:
Samantha Esteves

Description:
Our brains are formed by billions of cells, such as this one, densely compacted together. What makes each of our brains unique and individual are the minute differences in the way these cells are connected. The arms, or neurites, of the cell branch out, seeking to make connections with the appropriate partners. Through these branches, information is received and then communicated to the next cell. Networks of complex connection patterns, formed by these arms, are needed for our brains to function appropriately.
